Boeing ReBrand

Due to massive PR issues for the brand, this campaign was put on hold indefinitely.

 

Problem

Make Boeing's brand image more like NASA or SpaceX. (At the time, SpaceX had just launched a Tesla into orbit.) Lean into their rich history, established dominance, and their vision for a more global future.

Solution

The world’s first TV spot shot entirely from space. Using Boeing’s robust network of satellites (more in orbit than any other company), we planned to capture and compile the beauty of our planet.

Brand Acts


Boeing was set to launch this campaign alongside new global initiatives aimed at actively improving the lives of all people. In partnership with groups like UNICEF and Red Cross, Boeing wanted to draw attention to some of their developing technologies by putting them to use to improve people’s lives TODAY.

Unfortunately, in the face of massive PR problems for the company, this project was put on permanent pause.

Personal Notes


I take pride in the ancient art of drawing thumbnails to express ideas.

Detailed comps are great, but I find it’s easier to get stakeholders to buy into an idea if they feel there is room left for them to help shape things.
