As a Senior Art Director at 360i New York Kate could be found doing everything from writing scripts and designing brand identities all well mentoring several junior teams. In her three years at the agency, she brought multiple campaigns to life with rave reviews from both clients and creative leadership. In that time two of her campaigns shortlisted at the One Show and Kate and her Canon brand team was named #1 Client Team of the Year by 360i.


McGarry Bowen, NYC

Art Director April 2014 - Jan. 2015

Kate was brought into McGarry on a two-week freelance contract, becoming so invaluable that she stayed on for nine months. She art directed 30+ photo shoots, creating a constant stream of original social content for Verizon. She also pitched and produced Verizon's holiday campaign, the most significant digital campaign of the year.

After the sudden death of a loved one, Kate decided to take a step back from full-time agency life. During this time she paid the bills with freelance projects for Reducress.com, Red Lantern, and DigitasLbi among others. When she wasn't freelancing she interned and performed improv comedy at the Magnet Theatre.

Art Director June 2012 - Aug. 2013

Kate cut her teeth in advertising at JWT with the guidance Jeff Benjamin. While at the agency she worked on global business pitches for Macy’s, Vonage, and Tylenol and developed campaigns for Kleenex, Halls, Royal Caribbean, Smirnoff (LATEM) and HSBC.


Jack Morton, NYC

Intern May 2011 - July 2011

While interning at Jack Morton Kate contributed to several projects including the worlds first 24-Hour Fashion Show, produced as part of a campaign to showcase the versatility of cotton. The Cotton 24-Hour Fashion show, which features 1440 cotton looks, became an annual event for the brand.

Kate specialized in art direction at VCU's grueling graduate level portfolio program. While at the school she worked on real briefs with full student teams that included account, strategy, technology, UX, art, and copy for clients including Macy's, Bing, Mars, and Ritz-Carlton.


Michigan State University Lansing, MI

August 2003 - May 2007

Kate entered college with dreams of becoming a veterinarian, but after a stomach-churning summer interning at a vets office, she decided to changed her major to advertising. While at MSU Kate was inducted into Tower Guard, a secret society that recruits from the 5% of the student body. Headquartered in the campus clock tower, the Tower Guard pursued multiple philanthropic initiatives most prominently reading textbooks onto tape for the blind and dyslexic. Kate had the distinction of being the groups first dyslexic member and often joked that she'd, "read her textbooks to herself and call it volunteering."
