Kate is a Senior Art Director at 360i New York where for over two years she has been breaking down the barriers that keep her team from making their best work. By redefining brands’ strategies with creative insights, fostering close interdepartmental relationships, and continually pushing the bar on her own creative work with avant-garde thinking, she produces measurable results for both her clients and her agency.
For the past ten months, she has operated without a partner, doing everything from writing scripts to designing brand identities. In this time, she's brought campaigns to life for three Canon sub-brands. Two of them campaigns have been flagged by agency leadership as award show contenders.
McGarry Bowen, NYC

Kate was brought into McGarry on a two week freelance contract, becoming so invaluable that I she kept on for 9 months. She art directed 30+ photoshoots, creating a constant stream of original social content for Verizon. After hearing about a large untapped budget for Vine, she pitched an approach to the Verizon team. It was approved and she personally created numerous stop motion animations for the brand. She also pitched and produced Verizon's holiday campaign, the largest digital campaign of the year.
Comedian and Freelancer, NYC

After the sudden death of a loved one Kate was forced to take a step back from agency life. During this time she interned and performed comedy at the Magnet Theatre and paid the bills with freelance projects for Reducress.com among others.
June 2012 - August 2013
Kate was hand-picked by Jeff Benjamin to “bring in a new era at JWT.” While at the agency she worked on global business pitches for Macy’s, Vonage, and Tylenol and develop campaigns for Kleenex, Halls, Royal Caribbean, Smirnoff (LATEM) and HSBC.

While at Jack Morton Kate contributed to several projects including the worlds first 24-Hour Fashion Show, produced as part of a campaign to showcase the versatility of cotton. The Cotton 24-Hour Fashion show, which features 1440 cotton looks, became an annual event for the brand.

Kate specialized in art direction at VCU's grueling graduate level portfolio program. While at the school she worked on real briefs with full student teams that included account, strategy, technology, UX, art, and copy for clients including Macy's, Bing, Mars, and Ritz-Carlton.
Michigan State University, Lansing
August 2003 - May 2007
Kate began her schooling to become and small animal vet. She spent two years studying zoology/pre-vet and after a stomach churning summer interning at a vet clinic she changed her major to advertising. While at MSU Kate was inducted into a secret society that recruits the the 5% of the student body. The group was headquartered in the campus clock tower and their volunteer mission was reading text books onto tape for the blind and dyslexic. Interestingly in the 50+ years the group had been around she was the first dyslexic member on record.
